Serving the Linux home server
Over the years I've built a lot of computer and accumulated a decent number of spare parts, with those parts I put together a home server.
Based on an engineering sample of an Intel i9 12900HK on a custom 'No name' motherboard, it has 16gb of DDR4 and has an Intel 'Iris Xe' GPU
The drives, eight drives in total from 1TB to 10TB. The array is 36TB, with a 10TB parity disk. I'm using a 500GB m.2 NVMe as a cache pool for faster writes and app data.
The insane price of storage over the last few years has slowed my upgrades, but I hope to eventually replace all of the drives with 10TB ones.
